Construction Site Supervisor

Position Overview

The Construction Site Supervisor will help supervise in the renovation, repair, modification, and rehabilitation work carried out by Hope Renovations in the community.  This position will report to the Director of Construction Operations. 


  • Coordinate, supervise, and assist with all aspects of hands-on construction tasks including (but not limited to) demolition, site prep, framing, insulation, drywall, flooring, finish carpentry, landscaping, tiling, light plumbing and electrical.  Projects may include critical home repairs, rehabilitation, renovations, accessibility modifications, and weatherization.

  • Assist with project planning, ordering of materials, coordination of deliveries, and other logistics related to jobsites.

  • Follow all safety protocols and ensure that other team members/volunteers do the same.

  • Assist with maintaining product inventory, tool maintenance, and vehicle upkeep.

  • Maintain a safe and clean work site.

  • Develop relationships with homeowners, community partners, volunteers, and staff.

  • Other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two years of on-site experience in construction/skilled trades

  • A commitment to Hope Renovations’ mission and vision

  • Proven record of on-the-job safety

  • Strong construction knowledge and skills including carpentry, surface treatments and finishing (i.e. painting, tile, drywall), plumbing and electrical

  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation

  • Physical ability to work outdoors and in cramped spaces such as crawlspaces and attics

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds

  • Ability to lift 30 pounds repetitively

  • Knowledge of construction tool safety, use and upkeep

  • Ability to work as part of a team

  • Strong communication skills


Position hours: Daytime hours

Position status: Full-time hourly with health benefits, 401k, generous holiday and time off

Pay: $18-22/hour depending on experience

Training Program Coordinator

Position Overview

We are looking for a friendly and organized Training Program Coordinator to join our team as we grow the Hope Renovations’ Trades Training Program. The Program Coordinator position will have both internal and external facing responsibilities, including administrative duties as well as assisting with program planning, implementation, and evaluation. The Program Coordinator will report to the Director of Training Programs and Director of Instruction, and will work alongside training instructors and interns. The position requires substantial problem-solving, decision-making, and discretion on a daily basis.


  • Administration

    • General administrative tasks including data entry and management, note-taking, office organization, etc.

    • Triage and respond to phone and email inquiries

    • Procure office supplies

    • Record program expenses

    • Update website and other collateral as needed

    • Manage organization of program photos

  • Program Management

    • Coordinate details for program events and meetings

    • Attend evening program ~21 dates per year

    • Assist with recruitment and program events, including some evenings

    • Create and disseminate program marketing materials

    • Correspond with applicants

    • Maintain updated information throughout application process, program, and post-program

    • Assist with classroom and materials preparation for new cohorts

    • Procure program materials

    • Manage general supplies for training facility

    • Maintain hard and digital records of program documentation

    • Organize and analyze program evaluation data

    • Assist with case management

  • Fund Development

    • Assist with grant writing, administration and reporting

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in the public sector (nonprofit, academia, foundation or government agency)

  • Passionate about Hope Renovations’ mission and impact

  • Success in roles requiring execution of multiple tasks while responding to multiple priorities

  • Proven ability to work with efficiency, flexibility, and good humor

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide array of people – junior and senior, for-profit and nonprofit, and from diverse backgrounds

  • Operates with excellence in mind in all matters, with the confidence to defend/debate ideas without ego interfering

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills are essential

  • Skilled at writing for both professional purposes as well as for marketing

  • Ability to exercise tact and diplomacy in organizational settings

  • Transparent, direct, ethical

  • Self-starter, self-disciplined

  • Laser-focused motivation to accomplish tasks

  • Remain focused in the face of pressure, delivers against timelines, not intimidated by tasks/time limitations

  • Familiarity with Google applications, Wix, Canva, Adobe Document Cloud, Airtable, Calendly and/or Salesforce a plus


Position hours: Daytime and evening hours, 40 hours/week

Position status: Full-time, exempt

Pay: $35,000 annual salary

Benefits: Generous paid time off and benefits package; 401k match after 6 months
